My name is Karran Harper Royal. I am a public school parent and citizen of New Orleans, LA. This blog is intended to give the reader a different perspective on education reforms in New Orleans and across the country. I care about real education reform and I am very concerned that the current reforms in public education are not helping the children they were meant to help. I hope that the perspective represented at Education Talk New Orleans will help to inform your opinion of public education reforms.

This sounds like an honorable and helpful blog, particularly to the educated and well-informed parent. What would help me in assessing the benefit of such a site for myself is to know more about you, the manager/editor/writer of the site.
